Terms and conditions

1. IN DIALOGUE ABOUT YOUR FURNITURE

Before we start producing your furniture, we will contact you. We do this not only because we really want to talk to you. But also to be 100% sure that we are creating the perfect piece of furniture for you.

In the dialogue, we ensure, among other things, that you have decided on and chosen the right surface, where several surfaces need to be decided on, so that you get the look you want for your furniture.

We also ask when it is convenient for you to receive your furniture, and agree on a more specific delivery time.

2. PAYMENT

Thors Design receives payment via bank transfer.

3. RIGHT OF COMPLAINT

There is a 2-year right of complaint under the Danish Sales Act. Our right of complaint applies to defects in material and/or manufacturing.

If your complaint is justified, this means that you can either have the item repaired, exchanged or your money back, depending on the specific situation.

You must complain within a “reasonable time” after you have discovered the defect. If you complain within two months of the defect being discovered, the complaint will always be timely.

In the event of a complaint, contact us at +45 9713 3995 or at mail@thors-design.dk. We will then typically ask you to send pictures of the product’s defects, damage or deficiencies.

4. RIGHT OF CANCELLATION

Custom-made unique products cannot be canceled as a rule. If you have regretted your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible and we will see what we can do.

5. GUARANTEE

We offer a 10-year guarantee on our products. Azobé wood is almost indestructible, and if you take care of it, it will last for generations. Wood is a living material, so shrinkage, cracks or holes will occur. This is completely natural, and is therefore not covered by the guarantee.

It is important to mention that we only work with recycled wood, which is why there must be patina in the form of existing holes and cracks, which is not a defect but part of the product's original charm. There may also be a small area of the wood that is rotting. This is NOT developing, but a result of the wood having been submerged in Danish waters for over half a century, and it in no way reduces the function or durability of the wood. Often you will not even know that it is there, as it will primarily be on the underside of the planks. Should problems with developing rot nevertheless arise, this is of course also covered by the guarantee.

6. WHAT IS COVERED BY THE GUARANTEE?

It is always a matter of assessment when working with living materials such as wood, but you can generally expect that our warranty covers:

✔ Material and manufacturing defects on all our products

✔ Larger than expected level differences between two planks

✔ High degree of warping on a plank

7. WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY?

Normal wear, cracks, shrinkage and holes or damage caused by improper use, accidents, impacts or external damage and discoloration due to improper use or handling.

8. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR COMPLAINT?

When you report a defect, we will investigate it and assess whether it is covered by the warranty. We will then agree whether the damage can be repaired or the product must be replaced.
